How much scrap they allowing for ya for the first 3 days?...

shouldn't be much of a shift, except the speed & performance of the new press - you gonna get to articulate the job & programs yourself?...set-up dude's will be a plus, those things load & lock quick....wear 'em out!

Im not even hired yet,he had about 5 others to interview after me and he proberly had more before me and he specified experienced TRUMPF operator. My odds are i wont get the job.Only thing i have going for me is 20 years on the ACCUPRESS break. What do you mean by "lock and load?..its a brake, not a gun :)

BTW,,,can someone explain the meaning of the different axis on the brake press, they go from 1,2,4 5,6.7...i know 1and 2 are the ram and back stops is does 3 mean the movement of the individual back fingers by servomotors?...and are there more axis numbers..my old brake only had x and y.

As lynlynch said: Welcome to the insanity. Were a pretty bizarre group of people. But a lot of fun!

Whether you get the job or not, kudos on the guts to try! I had an uncle that was asked once whether he knew how to weld, so he said sure he did. Then went to the library that weekend and learned enough to get through the next week. He kept it up until he was the best welder in the place.
