BCD stand for Binary Code Display. I am unemployed, not degreed and used to work for W.C.Dillon & Co.,Inc.

No offense intended here but two things....

First... BCD stands for Binary-Code Decimal. Has for as long as I've playing with bcd.

Second... uhm...er... sorry if this is insensitive but what that dickins are you talking about?

The instuments we manufactured had a hexidecimal display, that we refered to as a binary code display. I forgot the term Binary Code Decimal. (I must be aging myself.) The instrumentation was used to display an analog signal from load cell outputs (strain gages),converted to digital. It was then put into a digital readout, the signals were processed into comparators, for limit controllers.

But least I bore too much, I'll continue, at your request.
