Wear Sleeve for Gearbox Shaft

i would like to mount a sleeve in the middle of a shaft by shrink fit. please help in how to select/design sleeve and whether shaft machining is required to suit the installation of sleeve?

Replied to your other thread, hope that will be enough.

BTW: material of the sleeve we use is Med carbon steel forgings or pipes SA106 GrB depending on the size.
