Instrument Air Compressor

09/08/2009 7:59 AM

Recently we installed an instrument air compressor at our plant, the compressor is of type GA37+ and having a dryer Donalson Ultrafilters. The package was left idle for more than one year before being started where the humidity & moisture content is very high at this time of the year.

An alarm was observed during start-up indicating high dew point where the moisture analyser reads -33 C. we don't know whether th problem comes from the drayer prefilter or the desiccant of the adsorbers.

appreciate if any one can advise,,,,,,

If you want to find out more about finding a Compressed air Trusted Trader there's some information at the bcas website, it's short for British Compressed Air Association.

Hope it helps.

You can probably contact someone like Air Compressors Australia for information on your problem too. They don't mind answering questions. They have an Air Compressor Buyers Guide too, if your company ever needs to get a new one.

I recently got myself an air compressor and brad nail gun. Its small it does what I need and I got it an accessories for about $75(and other tools) I am 21 and I want to start working on different projects, but I have no idea where to start. How do I prioritize my projects?

Great post. I've been putting off getting one because the compressor looks like it will take up a fair bit of space in the garage, but it definitely won't be one of those tools that gathers dust unused.Click here
