total volume of the space ie length x width x height in cubic feet divided by 60 you will get the cfm

cfm = W x L x H /60

in addition to that in hvac we need to consider 5-10 cfm per person

consider 50 people in the area then cfm will be 50 x 5 = 250

the consider air changes for a normal room we need to consider 1 or 2 air changes in an hour

air changes will be different for different application like for a mini operation theatre air change will be 10 to 12

you can get air changes from ashrea hand book
