Maybe, back to back means that two cabinets are placed, get ready, back to back.

Double front could be side by side.

Depends how many times the manual has been mutilated by nonsensical translation.

well, basically the question is about the typical LV motor control centers arrangements, Which are the back to back configurations, if you check the Square D, technical documents, it show two differents arrangements (back to back with transition section, and back to back through the back splice, each one with the 20" of deep) this with the objetc to reduce the space on the electrical rooms, specially on marine applications, obviusly with this arrangements we have the double front, and the main concern if exist other configuration for this term?

When installing MCC's please take note that to carry out electrical maintenance on the bus bars you need to get get acees to them.. then they have been insatalled on site here they have been put against the walls and you can not get access to check the thighness of the busbars connections. All we can do here is take the end panels off and do a visual from the ends. Please check what maintenance is required before you decide on the way the island is constructed and how you are going to intall them in the switchroom for maintenance in the future. hope this helps

the basic idea about the mcc double front is to use optimal space on the electrical room, but is necessary to know the standard to support the use on marine facilities
