Instrumentation Engineering Careers

09/17/2009 1:26 AM

I'm a fresher in Instrumentation engineering.I was not able to secure a campus placement and i am very much interested in pursuing a career as an Instrumentation engineer in the Oil and Gas/Power Sector. But the problem is that I am having a low B.E. percentage(few decimal points above 60%).
Is it true that the core engineering companies are wary about giving jobs to people below 65% through off-campus?
Also if I manage to secure one, will this Percentage thing still haunt me a few years down the line when i need to switch over to another company?

What is a fresher?

What is a B.E.percentage?

Where are you located?

What exactly do you mean by "Core engineering companies?"

On an international forum you really should not assume that everyone knows your local slang...

A fresher is a Fresh Graduate out of college.

B.E. is Bachelor of Engineering Degree.

The guest seems to be located in India.

What is a low BE percentage? Does that mean his grade average is 65%? That is not very good....

How was my post off topic?
