PVC tubing vs PU tubing

09/28/2009 11:21 AM

I'm looking to replace some PVC tubing with Polyurethane because the later is less prone to discolouration in humid condictions. However I am having difficulty comparing their relative strength and creep properties - can anyone suggest a source of information? I'd also be interested in opinions...

My opinion, depending on your use/need, is to switch to Pex. Pex is a cross-linked polyethylene product. I installed it in my home 9 years ago, was easy to use and withstands a wide range of temperature fluctuations.
