By "transmission" what do you mean ? First there is the mechanical gearbox which converts the slow rotation of the turbine (a few tens of revolutions per minute) to at least a thousand or more revolutions per minute to drive the electrical machine which generates the electricity. Then the electric power is transmitted after suitable modifications by power electronics over the utility grid. That is of course just the outline of the transmission story. If you need more details there are many books dealing with the subject. As with all such large machines the details are fairly complex. Of course here I assume you are talking about those huge wind turbines used to generate clean electricity.

thank you for you're info.

Yes i mean the large-one's. I can find this in books, but in wich books. I have to do a large work about this transmission of this turbine. By transmission I mean the conversion of al mechanical to electrical energy. And i need some drawings or companies who can give me more info about the inside of a wind turbine, the gears and so on.Can you give me something of that?

my best regards

A fairly comprehensive Indian book on the subject is " Wind Electrical Systems" by S.N.Bhadra, D.Kastha, & S.Banerjee. It has been brought out by Oxford University Press. Being Indian, it is also very low cost: about 250 Rupees or around $5.

I am Indian, and so have a partiality towards such low cost local stuff. I cannot understand how your institution library can faill to have a few books dealing with the subject which is so topical now.

GE Wind Energy is the largest supplier of wind turbine in the US you can look them up and see what kind of information they would be willing to pass on.
