Lighting with Backup Design

10/12/2009 6:01 AM

Hi Friends,

We are desiging lighting for our Float area ( Height from ground level - 10 Mtr) and we are planning to put Recessed Fl light 4 X 18 W with Battery and Without battery around 170 numbers.

Kindly can any one suggest that what should be the ratio of Lamps with battery to with out battery ( ie A lamp with battery back up should be provided with after x no of lamps without battery back up).

As an electrician you need to look at local building and fire code. But you usually want 1-2 off each wall, then skip 5-6-7. Remember to use common sense. Keep your Night Lights/ Emg Powered near any exits. Vital equipment and path ways/stairways. Dont put one in the storage room. Put them where you need them. If you have a total of lets say 10% +- 2% you will be more then minimual.
