High Volume 24VDC Pump

01/02/2007 4:07 AM

Hi,

Greet you all: A More powerful New Year!

Can anyone help me find a manufacturer or supplier of a high volume/low pressure, (barb size 1/2" or 3/4") pump (24VDC brush less motor), to be use to pump diesel fuel.

Thank you. Happy Holiday!

What is "high volume/low pressure"? Guessing from your barb size, less than 10 gpm (gal/min) at maybe 15 psi max

What is the duty cycle?

What you may want is a fuel transfer pump and there are many on the web. Most transfer pumps are designed for 30 minutes of operation at a time, but at 8 gpm, thats 240 gallons.

You shouldn't reduce your inlet diameter from the inlet provided on a particular pump, as this is bad pump practice, especially if you have a suction head. So if you have to have a 3/4" inlet fitting, then size the pump so it comes with a 3/4" inlet. Reducing a 1" inlet down to 3/4" gives you only slightly more than half (9/16) of the inlet cross sectional area.

Another 24 VDC:

I do not know if they are brushless or not, you would have to contact the manufacturer or distributor if they don't say in their descriptions.
