Base Metal Qualification

when a welder is qualified with P1 to p1 ,whether he is qualified to do p1 to p11.if the answer is yes, how about ss welding becse here purging is needed

A welder is qualified to a certain process (WPS→PQR→WQR)

If you look at QW484 - then there are quite a few places the material is defined- description, base metal,... along with the above (WPS and PQR Nos)

So the welder qualified for material group (P1 here), for a thickness range, to a WPS/PQR is only limited to that.
