Reference for Plate Natural Frequencies

11/11/2009 11:01 AM

In response to my closed thread,

http://cr4.globalspec.com/thread/46072/Plate-Natural-Frequencies

No, this is not homework, but I guess I can see how that is misinterpreted.

Actually, this is my frustration that I cannot find a reference that actually lists all these formulae for various edge conditions on a plate. I hear the Belvins book has these, but I won't be able to get access for a few days.

If someone could suggest another reference or share the formula, that would be great.

If this were homework, it would be the derivation of the formula that mattered, and not the final answer. :)

Cheers, Brian

Excellent, thanks!

So, I was actually able to get a hold of the Blevin's book this morning. It does have the formulas for every imaginable combination of edge boundary conditions. In fact, it references the Leissa paper as the source.

Cheers,

Brian
