If I am compressing air to half its volume how much heat is produced?

Remember PV=nRT

Pressure * Volume = n * R * Temperature (Kelvins)

n = the amount of gas (in Mols)

R = the gas constant

It is the Ideal Gas Law and you can learn about at:
