it is a Grey cast iron steel class 3 (KS D 4301) and mechanical properties is as under, and it is used in ball bearing housing and machine parts for it's vibration absorbing capacity than other material.

Tensile strength-17 to 24 Kg/mm

Hardness- 217 to 255 HB
