How to Prepare Valve Datasheets and Valve Specifications

I would also put other data like valve make, model number, serial number, location, bonnet and packing gland stud quantities, size and torques, data on operators ( manual, electric or or air-operated ), maintenance history, documentation ( drawings, calculations, parts, etc. ), packing configuration, Bill of Material, etc. I am a Valve Packing Engineer at a nuclear station in Ontario, Canada and am responsible to prepare the valve packing data sheets for the existing valves so the maintenance staff have the required information when repacking the valves or replacing them. These data sheets also maintain configuration management ( i.e. documentation and data are kept up to date to we know exactly what valve, etc. is at the field ).

Spec is a document/ kinda report which u prepare askin for the entire scope of the equipment. strats from the size, use or service area, related piping, etc. specification comprises the requirements any owner wants. the datas in the specification happen to be minimum required. if for example for a relief valve to be used in the fuel oil line, there are basic size, moc, etc needed. but that does not mean that if the contractor is capable of providing a better quality than asked has to be ignored.

Data sheet is jus a table representation of what the spec says. only the key and important aspects are covered in it.
