welding deffect(SMAW)

  1. High wind velocity can cause porosities in weld.What must be done to prevent this from happening?

Build a hoarding/hut/shelter/tarpaulin over the welder.

...you got it right...make sure you have enough distance when you use tarpaulin or else it will catch fire..always ready your fire extinguisher..safety first.

Use some type of wind breaks to make sure that the wind does hit the weld directly.
