Distance Between Bus Bar Supports

Hi,

I am working on a LT Panel design, i do know how to calculate the distance between bus bas supports for both vertical and horizontal bus bars. help me what are the factors we have taken in to consideration while calculating the distance between supports, is there any formula available for it?

Glad to have been of some help. SInce you are into switchboards, and are now famniliar with the Schneider website, i suggest you check out these also : ECT 145, ECT 156 and ECT 186. You may find them also useful.

It depends on your short circuit current at the location of the panel, size & number of bus bars, specing between the bus bars, orientation of the bus bars, what type of insultaors that you use, etc.

If you are from India, I suggest you attend to our 4-Days Training Programme on "Electrical Design of Switchgear Assembly" wherein we will train you on all the aspects of LV Switchboard Design

This programme is scheduled to be held at our training centre at Coonoor (Ooty) from 18th to 21st January 2010. Let me know your response to send you further details.

U may have seen several standard LT panel and the spacing of the bursbars.U will find out that they have a particular distance spacing,use the distance to design yr panel and it would serve u well.

Sometimes u need to compare standard existing jobs by big SWITCHGEAR companies like ABB,SIEMENS,and use their spec for similar jobs while u find out how it is calculated.

Also,if u already know as stated above how to calculate the distance,u ought to have known the factors taken into consideration which enable yr result,else how are you sure u did the right calculation or use the right formular as stated.Note that in yr formular lies the factors.

What is LT Panel?? What depended of Distance Between Bus Bar Supports?? Only dinamical dynamic stability Bus Bar? How calculate dynamic short current, if i know Icu?
