How to Calculate & Choose Arrester for Photovoltaic Application

As far as I know no 'special' surge suppressor is needed. For this type of installation block type MOVs will work fine or you could use strap type as well.. Below is a link to information which help you select the correct size as well as data sheets.

FYI,usually i used the brand ABB or OBO for AC 1 or 3 phase,but i still find it yet for Photovoltaic application.
