I want to involve myself in innovative Mechanical works and at the same time want to continue my service as a mechanical engineer. How can I do both the things?
My advice is to continue to work as a mechanical engineer and to go back to school at the same time. Study the innovative things that you'd like to learn about.
Have you considered working with innovators directly? Maybe after you get a few under your belt you could develop a company with a track record.
I am currently looking for someone that can develop/size an hydraulic system for my works. I need to find hydraulic motors that can sustain 130# of end thrust, but the sales people in pump mfgrs. can't work outside the usual box.
So I will continue asking questions in a field that I'm ill-equipped to do.
