Accelerating Pads

12/18/2009 5:10 AM

hai dear gentleman's around here ...i have a thought about accelerating pads i mean a moving pad which could help peoples in more rushing areas like in airport or at railway stations etc.,instead of using escalators which are relatively slow in speed my concept of arranging fast moving flat pads so that people can get to the other end with ease.....do you find anything impossibles with my idea.... i need suggestion for taking it as my final project

It sounds like you are describing the moving sidewalks that are in many airports. The sprawling Atlanta International Airport (Georgia, USA) is full of them.

Yes, fly into Montreal. Get off the plane. Get on the moving sidewalks. Shift from side to side. Wear a button that says, "Montcalm was a loser".
