Centrifugal Gas Compressor

01/05/2010 1:47 AM

does any one know a manufacturing company for Centrifugal gas compreesor, two satges. First stage with flow rate of 100mmSCFD & the second stage is with flow rate of 150mmSCFD. I contacted Dresser Rand, Rolls Royce, GE-Nuovo Pignone , Solar Turbine, and Elliot. All of them have declined except Solar Turbine.

Do you know other manufacturers for this type of compressors. Please help.

Rolls Royce and GE-NUOVO PIGNONE advised that this compressor is small for them. they want us to raise the capacity to 10MW. Elliot failed to get the turbine. I have all their declining letters.

BE MORE POLITE WHEN SPEAKING SERIOUSLY. AND I DO NOT YOUR HELP ANY MORE! THANKS.

Zubaid:

Why don't you answer the question that was posed to your prior post - why did the companies other than Solar Turbine refuse to quote?

Something very strange going on here.

I posed your question to my Sankar Narayan who makes our air compressor training software. Below is his reply ...

Hello Don,

There are many manufactures and vendors but the data provided by the customer is inadequate. Except standard air handling compressors most centrifugal compressors are custom-made calling for a lot of data and details. This customer has even very unique requirement, the second stage flow rate is more than first. Never the less the starting point is to fill up a standard data sheet, API and like then circulate among the vendors.

The following links show more vendors for him to circulate:

BIN95:

Your are wasting your time on this guy. It appears that he was assigned the task of developing a list of vendors and wants us to do it for him.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

Actually I made a mistake in printing. The flow rate of the first stage is 150mmscfd and the second stage is 100mmscfd. I will try the links provided and I will contact you later. Thanks a lot for your help.

BTW, you cant really go wrong with Solar. If they have a machine that will fit the application, and they were the only one really interested in bidding, I would just go for them.

Solar has an excellent product and in all the parts of the world where I have worked, their service and support has been top notch as well.
