Any body know how to connect ipod to the integrated audio system in the new Honda Civic 2010? What hardware is required, cable / adopters etc.

Is it possible to connect blue tooth device to this integrated audio system in the new Honda Civic 2010?

Unless the audio system is setup for Bluetooth you will not be able to do this. Honda does make a iPod connection accessory, which is close to 100 USD, and requires modification to the installed stereo. All Honda integrated stereos come with an Auxiliary jack (ear bud jack size), so you would need to purchase a cable that had plugs on both ends that are the size of the iPod headphone jack. In addition, you might want a power adapter to ensure that your iPod does not run out of juice while on the road. This adapter will fit your accecssory power jack and the other end is the standard iPod connector.

I don't know the availability of these items where you are but in the US, these items are found at Best Buy, Radio Shack and any place that carries iPods.

I hope this helps

This integrated audio unit does not have an aux input on the front side. However it does have an aux button / switch.

I would prefer a solution with connectivity from the back panel of the audio, preferably able to play, sort, view music from the audio units control.

I am in Lahore, Pakistan. Here the company (Honda) is not offering this ipod connection accessory. Any idea where to buy it in US, and the Part number of this accessory (cable). I can ask a friend to buy one and send it to me.

I am sorry that I was not clear before, the aux jack woul be right above where the cigarette lighter power jack is. It is under a flip up cover.

Please check again on the dash in the compartment just ahead ot the panel where the shift knob is. There will be on the left of this compartment a lighter jack on top and an ipod socket below. Both hidden behind dark plastic covers. I'd send a picture, but my 2010 civic is in Ohio and I am in LA for the week. milo

Check out your sound system manual and read the instructions regarding connections. If all fails, read the manual... The bad news is that at least here in Brazil the Honda cars do not have blue tooth connection available with the Honda original sound systems (amazing, but true... even my small ford fiesta has one...) so, again, you should really read the manual. If all fails again, there are a number of Sony, Pioneer, and other 3rd party manufacturers with lots of options, including blue tooth, SD card, pen drive/USB, CD, DVD, GPS integration... lots of fun and $$$!
