Controller Communications in a Danfoss Net

01/15/2010 12:57 PM

Hello.

Why when I change places of two devices in a (Danfoss) net, their communication with the central controller fails? Is it important, the physical place of the individual "dwellers" of the net ?(indeed, their adresses were not changed).

Sorry, my qwestion betays almost no experience of the nets and should even look stupid,

but, is my understanding correct:

when in the (two wire) net : main controller - device N1 - device - N2 (some 15 meters apart from each other) I changed places the two devices, communication, prior to this excellent, failed, because the main controller sending messages to the device N1 expected answer from the latter in, let's say 1 microsecond, but had received it in 3 microseconds (because the device N1 was now relocated 15 m further from the original place), so, communication stopped.

Am I right?
