Pump type

01/30/2010 4:52 AM

We are buying a Crntrifugal pump to pump Demeneralised water from one end of plant to the tank near boiler location.

Capcaity: 20m³/hr

Head: 20m

What type of pump and seal plan I should go for: OH2 or BB1 or ANSI.

In many places, I have seen ANSI pumps for water appplication. Is that correct?

Impeller material is SS?

Thanks

You can use centrifugal pump with ss impeller as DM water do not any minerals.

Depends on how demineralised your demineralised water must remain. One of the better bets is one of the PVDF magnetically driven pumps as used in the semi-conductor industry..... this might be a bit too high for your application

Dear for demenailised water for a flow of 20 cum and 20 m you can use a 316 SS pump and single seal from as per ANSI as they are cheap..

Second you can use ANSI pumps for water application ..with Bronze or CI construction as they are well suited for water service.if you go for SS it will be very costly...
