GE DC-300 Drives

02/03/2010 4:48 PM

Somebody that can help me with next problem,

I have one DC-300 drive on a graphic machine with tachometer feedback speed but now the tachometer is wrong and I don't have a spare tachometer for replaced it, then I have operate the DC300 with armature voltage feedback, tachless operation.

I think that any soft jumpers and/or hard jumpers must be modified but I don´t know the addres and the new value.

Thanks very much. Excus me for my english, I speak spanish

Love to help, mate, but I don't know anything about them.

This is a link which may lead to some help - I realize it's advertising a training course (which isn't currently running, and which would cost a fortune if it were) -but if you look around the GE site, you may find some useful downloads - or at least a contact to call; you may even find one who speaks Spanish!

If you don't get anywhere on the GE site, try looking for distributors (who may be more helpful).

PS Your English is excellent - don't run yourself down .

Best wishes, & please register as a CR4 member.

If this is on a web press you can change parameter #1 from a 1 to a 0 to put the drive in CEMF. I'm assuming this is a Harris press. If so, you can contact us for further information at www.pressguys.com. All we do is electrical work on Harris Graphics and Heidelberg Harris web presses.

Thanks for you response to my question, the machine is a Harrris Graphic M300M and i add your contact(www.pressguys.com) to my agend for future problems.

By other side I don´t know what´s meaning the acronym CEMF.It´s Current Armature Feedback or Voltage Armature Feedback?

Then no other changes for tachless operation only parameter#1 from 1 to a 0 and no more.

Thanks

" ... CEMF ... it´s Counter Electric Magnetic Force ... "

I guess that's a fancy name for what the rest of the engineering world has called "back EMF[1]", certainly for as long as I've been alive.

[1] EMF in this context is Electromotive force.
