I suspect this has something to do with your security settings- I'm not sure which settings are involved exactly, but once, playing around with security settings, I lost the ability to attach files. After resetting all of the security settings back to default, the problem went away. This was, however, a much older version of Firefox...

Firefox has been good to me. I have not tried newer versions of IE- I got turned off to IE some time ago when I discovered Firefox was a whole lot faster than the older versions of IE. Chrome is faster, but so far I haven't been able to get the GlobalSpec toolbar to work in Chrome. I don't watch a lot of videos- I have heard Firefox and Flash don't always get along...

Yep I too heard some of Flash causing problems across the board and older computer architecture may have difficulty running the more intense graphics of current websites etc..

I suppose I'm not needing a race car and IE8 is very easy with much versatility, I prefer it.

Try checking with the Mikoyan design bureau.

hi shyren,

I experienced this only when using the new YahooMail version, but it doesn't happen all the time. the way to solve this is to revert to the classic version in the meanwhile, just to be able to send attachments.

I believe the problem is with Yahoo, not with FF.

HTH!

First, tell us what operating system, and version you're using.

Second, mail service, Yahoo, MSN, also Outlook?

Third, make sure that you update any add-ons. You can disable any that you suspect, and restore them if the problem isn't solved.

Did the problem only begin since you updated to 3.5.7?

As previously mentioned, check security settings. What anti virus program and version are you using? If using Yahoo, did using classic mail help?

It's a good thought to at least try Internet Explorer, just to see if you can send attachments, if all else fails. It may help to isolate the problem. I call it Internet Exploder, lol, but keep it as a back-up. It's handy for troubleshooting purposes.

I would first suspect that you have NoScript installed and/or have not enabled javascript for your e-mail website.

In response to others comments that you try IE as a diagnostic; please uninstall Internet Explorer version 6 from you computers. Everybody. It is not getting security patches, and has (shudder) security flaws.
