Welding SS304 to SS304 L

Which filler is required in welding of ss304L tubesheet with ss304 shell plate?

Pease provide information for the same.

you can use ER 304/ER 304 L or ER 308 /ER 308 L

The first question I have is why are you selecting SS304 for the shell plate when you will be welding to it? Typically when you want a weldable grade of stainless steel you choose the "L" grade (lower carbon content) so you do not get carbide precipitation in the heat affected zone around the weld. I would be concerned about long term reliability of the unit when welding to SS304.

If you have not yet purchased the materials I would suggest changing to SS304L for both parts.
