What is the rating of the transformer?

Any transformer will have its efficiency (and hence the no load losses).

If it is abnormal, change the transformer.

If it is normal, switch off the incoming feeder when idle.

For a 500KVA transformer a 3KW loss looks to be very good.

The input current is only about 26A

for 185sqmm (sqm ) XLPE cable, your resistance is about 0.17 Ω/km ie for your ampereage the total loss in cable will be about 35W

You are well within all normal practices (unless I have miscalculated something) including the 3KW.

Where is actually the problem? Amd I missing something?

Dear Sir

1)As asked by one of the participant ,let us knw the rating of the transformer.

2)The losses of the transformers and their prices are linked.Higher the loss, lower is the price. At the time of procurement itself ,it needs to be taken care.

regards
