can u pl tell me ,how much would b the cost per KW from solar photovoltaic source.

can b roughly ..not exact.

initial cost (installation cost) - ?/kw

operation cost -?/kw

What size system?

The prices are coming down dramatically, we just bid a 220 KW system and the total installed cost will be approximately $5-6/watt.

There are many factors that effect the total cost though, will it be roof mounted, ground mounted? Where is the tie-in to the electric system? There are many code issues to address that have an effect on the economics.

Installation DIY Roughly $5000.00 ZAR 40000.00 (4500watt) with inverter

Running costs: PV cells same as installation divided by approx 20 years

Batteries replacement every 5 years $150 ZAR1200 - $300 ZAR2400

General monthly maintenance neg
