Electric Motor Handling Fixture

01/29/2007 6:48 AM

We have designed a scissor lift and fixture for liftng and rotating two types of motor having various dimensions and shapes but having typical motor features we have to locate the motor one by its base in upside down position and other at 90 degrees to the horizontal.please give ur valuable comments for improvements and suggest some solutions.the motor will be intially in ground position .we consider of using pneumatics.using a single cylinder for turning the fixture with slots for motor.we have includeed a rough model of the diagram.i think the model is self explanatry .

Motor shown below has to be rotated 180 degrees from the horizontal position to be placed upside down.

Motor shown above should be rotated 90 degrees from the ground postion.

Since both the motors are different can u suggest me a single fixture for both of them.heightof lift is 1250mm.and motor weighs 250 and 145kg respectively.both the motors should be lifted from ground position before turning.
