Yttrium Coating on Copper

Hi,

Any one have any experience with Yttrium which can advise me on these questions?

Can Yttrium Y2O3 coated on Copper? Can Yttrium be used as a RF insulator?

It should be possible to coat any material with yttria, by plasma spraying for example. There are also commercial paints and pastes available, Try a supplier of thermocouples and refractory materials.

With regard to the rf shielding, I am sorry but I do not know. What property of yttrium oxide do you think would make this possible?

Y203 can be coated on copper parts.

Why do you used Yittrium as a RF insulator?
