Nozzles and Pipes

Dear all i have a doubt about straight run of pipe from nozzle. Why we provide it ?

Is your concern that there are no changes in direction to allow for thermal expansion? Or, are you wondering why there are seemingly unnecessary pipe bends?

What piece of equipment and what Nozzle?

- A Vessel? Which Nozzle? The Feed line, the Overhead line, the Bottoms Out line, the PSV line, etc?

- A Tank? Which Nozzle? The Inlet line, the Outlet line, the Overflow line, the Drain line, etc.?

- A Pump? Which Nozzle? The Suction line or Discharge line?

Because some nozzle applications require it.

But since we don't know what your specific application is, further guidance is not possible.
