A paper was presented at two conferences in Brazil last year saying that there is now a definitive criterion for cathodic protection that makes it possible to calculate if corrosion has stopped. The present criteria cannot be computerised as the half-cell is not used as a reference electrode in either CIPS or DCVG monitoring surveys. The alternative measuring method is an electrode arrangement similar to that used in laboratories during the studies that render values for the Pourbaix diagrams and other scientific theories that support the cathodic protection industry. These matters are all covered in the free training course at http://www.dynamic-cathodic-protection.com
