why power factor of VFD is Unity??

VFD (if Digital) =

AC -> (Rectifier)->DC ->(Controlled inverter)->AC

Hence The input AC sees the device as ?

Its not unit but between 0.97 and 0.98. Much better than a motor operating from DOL- or Soft starter anyway.
