Surface Preperation for Thermal Spray on Propeller

03/03/2010 7:08 PM

Greetings:

There is a short article on Surface Preperation for Thermal Spray on Propeller; it is located at http://pplr.us/s/UU9I/ . I was not sure if there was much interest on this topic on CR4. If you have interest in it, you can go to the propeller link or go direct to www.thermalspraydepot.com.

Please let me know if you would like postings about thermal spray.

1. Learn how to post a link.

2. Learn how to spell preparation.

3. The first two links I tried led me to another link. At that point I quit trying...

4. At first, I thought you were trying to sell aerosol cans of prop wash!

It is the first time I posted on CR4, so pardon me for not meeting your high expectations.

I was wondering why your are such an angry person, your remarks could have been said in a much better way. Most people would receive your comments as coming from an arrogant jerk; but I did not. I just think you are angry at someone or something and you decided to take it out on me. If my post did in fact made you that angry, I feel sorry for you.

Azz fur azz mhi speelin ghoes, im wurken un dat.

Thanks for you interest, and I hope today is a blessed day for you.

Hi ThermalSprayGuy,

CR4 has both a commercial section and a spell checker.

Your response doesn't present a very professional image.

First - Sorry, I didn't notice that it was your first post. I should have been more gentle...

Second - I was not, and am not, angry; just disappointed. LynLynch used the precise word: I expect a more professional post on an engineering forum.

I did read enough of your links to realize your thermal spray was probably not intended to be used on propellers (as the title implied), although I did not see what kinds of metals (alloys?) you are able to spray, and therefore do not know whether I might be interested.

In case you didn't read it or understand, sending a neophyte off to get a bucket of prop wash is an old joke. It was intended to end on a happy note!

Thanks for the response and your comments. I fly a Cherokee, and I will make sure no one sends me on a walk for prop wash.
