hallo

I have a small problem. Could anybody tell me which way power is restricted on new scooter engine YAMAHA 50 NEOS year 2008 ? What princip yamaha use there. I hear that yamaha buy minarelli engine for these scooters. Whats there? Restrictor in intake system, ignition limiting , variator gear restricting or what?

Thank for help

I believe this engine uses an exhaust restrictor to reduce the power output, in the past , on similar designs i have used a die grinder to remove the small welds which hold it in place.

Other types of restrictor are intake restrictor and cdi mapping, but the exhaust would be my starting point, don't forget that you will need to re-tune the carburetor following any modification to the exhaust or inlet.
