Required reliability, air cleanliness requirements, technical support available, power consumption, required pressure and flow, weight and size constraints, type of power available, price, leasing option, ambient conditions of operation like pressure, temperature, media, contamination possibility, sometimes design, colour, shape, reservoir options, ... the sky is the limit. Applications are too broad, and type of available compressors as well, not to say number of manufacturers. Could you narrow a bit more for us? Maybe explaining your application and requirements would help to light a little more.
Hello, Sandeep. I am very certain bhrescobar can and will help with this, I just happened by, and thought I would try to help as well.
"I would like to consider power consumption" What type of power is available to operate the compressor... 440V 3 Phase? If no, then what?
"...required pressure and flow..." Can you tell us the air pressure required for the proper operation of your equipment, as well as how much air volume it takes to operate them for one minute, and about how many minutes per hour your equipment consumes air. Something along that line.
"...ambient condition of operation like pressure, temperature..." The average air temperature, humidity, how dusty the environment is around the new compressor, after it is installed.
Others, from bhrescobar: "weight and size constraints" Do you have unlimited space for this new compressor? Does it need to be placed somewhere other than the ground floor?
"...air cleanliness requirements..." How 'clean' does the air supplied by this new equipment need to be? Is it for general tool use, food handling, instrument air, breathing make-up air? I know you have had troubles in the past by not desiccating your air; is this an issue here?
And one I think never gets enough consideration "...technical support available.." If the compressor gives up, how far away is the service technician? Or, replacement parts? Sometimes a stocking supplier in town might not have exactly what you want, but he keeps repair people and parts on hand all of the time. There may be a time when compromise is a good idea.
In your original post, "Please tell me which criterias I suppose to consider at the time of Air Compressor Selection."
In your post #4, you have nearly all of the answers to start discussing with your compressor equipment supplier. With this information, the two of you can investigate and decide which equipment will best suit your needs today, and (perhaps) into the future!
Breating make-up air is a hose transported air supply for workers in a particularly uncomfortable (lots of stuff floating around in the work area) or breathing hazard work area. For example, sand blasting. It does not seem you will need this.
