turbine types

Greeting all,

I need some information regarding to turbine types.

I know the below information but need more explaination if anyone has.

High head plant : Impulse turbines
Medium head plant : I dont know what type
Low head plant : Reaction turbines
Ver low head : bulb tubines or tube turbines

I need some explaination or good links regarding these.

Type of turbines-impulse and reaction turbines.

Impulse turbines-Water wheels, pelton wheel. cross flow turbines

Reaction turbines- Franchis Turbine, Keplon turbine, Bulb turbines

Basic books on Hydraulics or hydraulic machines should be useful to you.

Wikipedia, Google and Howstuff works should be of good reference to you. Use proper key words.
