API Monogram and Q1

I request a clarification regarding the following:

In one of our requirement for API 6D Valves we have a precondition that the participating firm should have ISO 9001 and API 6D certifications. One of the firm has sent their offer and claimed that as per the API 6D certificate they have the right to use API Q1(which is equivalent to ISO 9001) and API 6D. Is it correct?.

Absolutely. API Q-1 has all of the requirements of ISO in addition to product specific requirements that ISO does not address.
