What are the minimum lighting levels at different locations?

Which standard is mostly acceptable regarding lux level?

There as many lighting levels as there are locations.

Google "lighting levels recommendations"

Here is some of lighting requirements (in foot-candle) in industrial area:

General Office/Control room - 50

Switchgear room/Generator building - 30

Desk Office/Workshop/Ware House - 70

Walkway/Stairway/Open Deck Area – 5

For converting foot-candle to lux, the relation is: 1 Foot-candle = 10.76 Lux

I don't have but I heard the 'IESNA Lighting Handbook' is good document for lighting.

(IESNA for 'Illuminating Engineering Society of North America')
