Hi

I have enclosed product info for you to study, the main thing about breathers is they keep the oil in and the moisture out

search their web site

Hello Vinodk,

There are other issues to consider when determining what type of transformer breather is best. Maintenance cost differences can be considerable, especially with the amount of Silica Gel that is required per canister. Many of the breathers currently being used contain Silica Gel which has been doped with Cobalt(II) Chloride (blue in colour) to indicate moisture saturation amounts as it turns white in colour. This is toxic and a carcinogen, so the industry has looked for alternatives such as what Brownell offers in its Envirogel product, but it's not cheap. Numerous Canadian power generation companies have been using a Silica Gel alternative product for about 5-6 years because it saves them on maintenance costs. Here is a link.
