You could conform a blanket using the same technology used to obtain round seamless tubes, with some problems in the corners to be solved with the process development. Maybe a variable geometry cross section in the blanket should be used, there are going to be many heat treatments in the way, but, why do you need that ? Isn't there a simpler and cheaper way of doing the same thing?

Looks like it is. A quick search on "seamless steel tubing" resulted in a number of suppliers in North America and International; primarily China.

By strict definition, seamless tubes cannot conform to A500, which is a cold formed welded tube spec.

More applicable would be the spec ASTM A501, which is a hot formed spec. Seamless squares can be made either cold drawn (A519) or hot finished (A501).

Vallourec & Mannesmann (V&M) can produce yield strengths that exceed grade C. 65,000 yield, even 70,000 yield are easily produced.

Min quantities are 5 or 10 metric tons per size, (11,000# or 22,000#) depending on the size.

Lead times are 3-4 months
