T think you mean starts, it is limited due to the winding heating caused by the starting inrush current

Search the web and you will find links like, this, this, this etc. Others you may find out (which should have been done in the beginning only)

Dear Sir,

I hope what you mean is the number of STARTINGS per hour. It depends on

the load - diredtly coupled / through a fluid coupling / geared drive / the time taken

to get the rated speed / rated torque / the insulation of the motor - class B / F / H

from the heat point of view !

Generally 3 to 4 starts per hour is good . Any motor reversing applications

will call for special motors designed for short time ratings !!
