Windows XP Validity Problem

Hi friends

My windows xp received message from Microsoft indicating "it did not pass the validity check ", i do not why is that ? and i got a blue star at the bottom bar of the screen.

Is any way to remove that annoying blue star ?

That's probably the anti pirate spyware Windows has. It checks to see if your windows has been registered, and is not a copy. Find your key code and the install disk if you have it. They will probably want to know the name of the registered owner.

Once you have your documentation, go to 'help' at the top of your browser and see if it has a line "is this copy of windows legal" or something like that.

You need to validate and register your windows. If your copy is not valid, windows will want big bucks to validate your copy. Shop around, don't panic. I get my software from Purplus. I like their prices.

Yes I have the disc and the keys , but if I re-install windows again it will erase every thing on the hard drive.

If you have the keys, you should not have to re-install, just validate. Check on 'repair' if you have to do a re-install, it should not erase your data. Do a lot of searching, there are ways to solve this problem.
