You need to be more specific as how the cable is laid whether it is single or laid with group of cables etc.

Why not use existing engineering tables?

OR,

If you ask such a question, means that you are NOT an engineer or licensed electrician. My suggestion to you is let some one who is licensed do the installation. 415V three φ power is lethal!. If you just want to check if your electrician is not taking you for a walk, ask him to show you the tables. In any event, I personally will not use Aluminium cable if at all possible. Maybe in case it is suspended over a large distance and where total weight is a problem. Other than that they really don't have any advantage. Terminations are a problem, Galvanic action, brittleness, flexibility, are all viable deficiencies. and even the price advantage, at least in my location isn't that important.

Hope it helps.

Wangito.

Mr. Wangito,

Do you think an engineer or an electrical tradesman would asked somebody else to calculate for him his cable size requirement? Of course not! Maybe you should think twice and you should excersise modesty in your language.

The datas you have shown here are useful to sized up your required cable however, you still have to determine the distance of the source from the load which is needed for a satisfatory cable size calculation.
