Ultrasonic Gas Meter

I am wondering if it is possible to use an ultrasonic flow meter on a flexible gas line? Thank you for any insights.

A clamp-on type might work, but opposing or oblique transducers will be hard to mount and probably impossible to maintain correct opposition. Also, most of the flow meters I've seen call for 20 diameters upstream and 10 down of straight unobstructed flow. What kind of device are you using?
