Headlight Issue on 2009 Saturn Vue

04/19/2010 10:18 AM

I have always been a proponent of driving with headlights on, day or night. So, the headlights are on auto. Recently, several times upon starting my car, the brights came on. Most of the time, by moving the dial, I could get the regular lights on. But on one occasion, it was brights or nothing. (I have never driven the car with the brights on. I set the dial to auto the day I got the car).

Been to the dealer, who could not (of course!) repeat the problem. I also did some searching on line, but did not find anything about this issue or this car-

Any ideas? Software, electrical, or??? I have had the battery replaced once, right before Christmas (I got the car new in August of 2009).

are you talking about dim dip day running lights ?

if so theres a device normaly a resister that comes into line during day or when lights are turned off that runs the lights at reduced brightness and as soon as you select lights they switch over to normal brightness.

Headlights are the same brightness, night or day-
