Cell Phone Battery Terminals

04/21/2010 5:37 PM

I have an LG Incite and the copper or brass positive terminal connection - the receiver on the cell phone itself - broke off. The phone has 4 terminals and I was wondering if i may be able to move one from one of the three other three terminals, not the negative one, into its place but I don't know what they are for so I don't know what affect moving them would have. Also, if moving one is not possible, I was wondering what I could use as a substitute for the piece that broke off and where I could get it.

Thanks for the help!

Check on your battery, if all the pins are connected. If not, you can try to move one. In case you consider replacing one: you can use gold, silver, copper (phosphor bronze specific) or any conductor. You might even try to make a light wire connection if you are handy with a soldering gun and don't heat up everything too much. Call me. (with you phone)

Thanks a lot, I actually ended up removing one of the receivers from an older LG phone i had and placing it in the slot for the one that broke off and all works well now.

Looks like the battery has four terminals:-

He's going to need to take the whole thing apart to replace one of the terminals on the phone:-

so he might as well look for a proper replacement part........

But where do you go for something like that?
