Hey friend, Sorry for correction.
But i dont think you can find any portable Analyser,
But if you mean portable detectors, then there are alot that you can find easily. try to look for the vendors which supply u with the ranged detectors.
Analysers tell u the quantity of gas in a gas stream that is to be attached with the analyser..
(and it is not portable at all.. )
Thanks to all you kind people for the response. Some history;
Many of our cold stores throughout our country are using fork-lifts powered by internal combustion engines that expel ethylene amongst various other gases. Both ethylene and carbon monoxide gases are responsible for premature ripening of fruit and we suspect this may be taking place, but in order to confirm this we need to measure the concentration within this enviroment. It is believed that concentrations as low as 0.15 ppm can initiate unwanted premature ripening of many fruit kinds.
It is fairly simple to find instruments/detectors that will indicate the presence of these gases, but difficult to find one that can determine the percentage of ethylene gas in an area or enclosure. There are labortory instruments in some countries that is capable of doing this, but I was hoping to find a portable instrument. Seems as if it is as difficult as I had suspected it would be.
A specific measurement of ethylene over a period of time will cost quite a bit of money and involve hiring a laboratory. Instead, you might consider putting Purafil in your air conditioning system. Purafil is potassium permanganate on alumina beads, and is commonly used by florists to remove ethylene from flower storage enclosures. If you Google the term 'purafil', it should lead you to the company that makes it, located in Doraville, Georgia, USA. I don't recall the company name, since it has changed hands a couple of times in the past decade. Prefiltering the air with charcoal will extend the life of the Purafil.
